About The Position

Primary Purpose Responsible for learning the operation of the Wastewater and Water facilities in Millsboro and Selbyville. They will be required to maintain operator logs, spreadsheets and documentation for regulatory and internal reporting. This position will also perform environmental tasks and auditing of the Wastewater facilities in addition to maintaining the stormwater systems and all required tasks and reporting. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies preferred or 5 years’ environmental/wastewater experience.
  • Must have a Delaware Wastewater License (Level 1 minimum) or the ability to get one within 1 year within this position.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to present information (written and oral) to Wastewater, Operations and Environmental.
  • Experience in managing different projects and different types of work.
  • Travel to Millsboro and Selbyville based on need.
  • Work schedule Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., weekends and other shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Wastewater and Environmental departments as needed.
  • Maintains and reviews internal and regulatory reporting information for the Water and Wastewater facilities in Millsboro and Selbyville.
  • Analyze operational data, logs and improvements needed to accomplish goals and requirements.
  • Performs and maintains the stormwater operations and lift stations in Millsboro. Performs stormwater monitoring and sampling as required. Updates the stormwater plan, performs stormwater inspections and submits required stormwater reporting to DNREC.
  • Performs environmental auditing and tasks at the Wastewater facilities in Millsboro and Selbyville.
