This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of technicians, you will be responsible for environmental test processes for a wide range of liquid rocket engine components at our state of the art production facility in Huntsville, AL. The person in this position will assist with installation, operation, and maintenance of test equipment; assisting with process documentation and controls; perform testing and certification of the test equipment. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. D Shift is weekend nights

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in flight operations, test operations, industrial systems, manufacturing, or a closely related operational environment
  • Strong Ability to read and follow technical documentation (procedures, work instructions, drawings, schematics, manuals)
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with software systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Physically able to climb ladders and stairs. Lift and carry 50 lbs for limited durations
  • Willing and able to support non-standard hours
  • Willing and able to travel to other Blue Origin sites infrequently

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing work with complex or hazardous systems (e.g., cryogenic, pneumatic, hydraulic, high‑pressure, high‑voltage, propellants, or similar)
  • Tube bending, tube flaring, and pressure panel fabrication
  • Electrical harness fabrication and electrical panel fabrication
  • Experience operating LabVIEW with National Instruments Hardware
  • Experience with data acquisition systems
  • Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, etc
  • Experience with overhead cranes and rigging
  • Cleaning, Passivation and Verification

Responsibilities

  • Pressure test and environmental test rocket engine components using pressure systems, thermal chambers, and vibration tables
  • Install tooling on test articles
  • Perform functions that include test troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, coordination with engineering, and engagement with management
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement
  • Perform maintenance on test equipment
  • Clean machines, equipment, and work areas according to site standards
  • Support other work centers and other processes to support business needs
