This Environmental Technician (Industrial Hygiene) role involves performing industrial hygiene-related services, including asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality assessments, as well as air and bulk media sampling. The technician will monitor remediation and abatement of contaminated or hazardous building materials and engage in progressive learning about field sampling techniques, working both indoors and outdoors. Daily communication with ECS staff, project managers, and jobsite representatives is essential, along with interfacing with contractors and other site personnel. Responsibilities also include understanding field sampling techniques, sample collection, analytical result reporting, and the calibration and use of sampling equipment. Additional duties may include report production, daily field reporting, obtaining relevant certifications, and conducting assessments for soil and groundwater.
