About The Position

Nwestco is hiring Environmental Field Technicians to join our team. If youve worked in environmental field work, soil sampling, construction, or hands-on outdoor roles , this is a great opportunity to build a long-term career. This is a field-based role not a desk job. Youll be working outdoors, traveling to job sites, operating equipment, and solving problems in real time. This full-time opportunity offers adventure and stability. The pay starts at $25/hr and goes up based on experience and skills. We also offer full benefits, PTO, and 401k.

Requirements

• Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
• Experience using tools, equipment, or machinery
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
• Strong attention to detail with data collection and reporting
• Willingness to travel and adapt to different job sites
• Reliable, hard-working, and safety-focused
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.

Nice To Haves

• Education in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Ecology, Natural Resources, or a related field is a plusbut not required.
• Relevant field or hands-on experience is equally valued
• Experience in environmental field work, soil sampling, OR construction

Responsibilities

• Collect soil and groundwater samples at job sites
• Perform environmental site investigations and field data collection
• Operate field equipment (meters, pumps, drills, etc.)
• Use tools and light machinery (skid steers, trailers, etc.)
• Complete daily reports and documentation (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Load/unload equipment and materials
• Travel to job sites and work independently
• Follow all safety procedures (OSHA, JSA, etc.)
