About The Position

Perform tests and/or measurement tasks for the Environmental department. Environmental: The branch of mechanics that deals with changes in the environment, including temperature, pressure and humidity.

Requirements

  • Limited supervision; can perform recurring work independently.
  • Able to complete advanced technical and mechanical procedures; able to perform assignments that are not standardized or prescribed
  • Regular interaction with clients
  • Able to troubleshot and rework complex tests
  • Advanced interpretation and analysis of test results; regularly called upon to provide input on test results
  • Advanced knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical principles, comprehensive knowledge of all potential aspects of safety; good knowledge of refrigeration/thermal systems
  • Able to use all standard and complex Environmental equipment; able to accurately capture necessary data; basic MS Office skills; able to understand AC/DC circuits
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 5+ Years of experience

Nice To Haves

  • AA or AS degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
  • Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
  • Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
  • Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
  • Other - Perform other duties as assigned
