About The Position

The Environmental Technician provides the facility with Environmental support to assure compliance with regulatory and corporate EHS requirements. Primary responsibility for collection of environmental samples for compliance determination.

Requirements

• High School/GED required.
• Driver's License required.
• 1+ years of Environmental Health and Safety experience preferred.
• Entry level Plant Operations knowledge.
• 1 - 2 years Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Ground Water sampling experience preferred.
• Drinking Water Testing Certificate preferred.
• Wastewater Testing Certificate preferred.
• 1+ years Environmental and Permitting Regulatory Matters experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts facility environmental testing and sampling in accordance with strict regulatory procedures.
• Provides technical training to assist with on-going compliance.
• Performs inspections of plant areas to assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoots and manages environmental field sampling data using an electronic database.
• Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers.
• Performs miscellaneous job duties as assigned.
• Reports any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees.
