About The Position

Environmental Tech is responsible for the basic disinfecting and cleaning of the facility. This position is also responsible for removal of a regular waste and medical waste along with boxes and the disposal of equipment and furniture. This position is based within Jefferson Regional Environmental Services Department. In this unique setting, daily interactions with a diverse clientele, including hospital staff, physicians, and visitors, are expected.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Previous experience in a healthcare facility or commercial cleaning role preferred
• Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures preferred
• Ability to follow all rules and policies within the organization and department
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Effective communication skills
