About The Position

The Environmental Technician position at Home Biotesting is an entry-level role focused on conducting environmental surveys and inspections for residential and commercial properties. Requirements

• Live in Kern County/Bakersfield area
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required, college degree preferred
• Must have a valid CA driver's license and a good driving record
• Willingness to travel
• Ability to safely lift and carry boxes (up to 50 lbs.)
• Basic computer knowledge/ability to learn and/or experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Drive), Slack, etc.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate with BA/BS in environmental sciences, health & safety, industrial hygiene or building related fields
• Excels with Project Management, Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Organized, follows direction well
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Slack, Asana, Gocanvas, CRMs etc.

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbial, lead, asbestos, and industrial hygiene inspections and sampling (once training and licensing is complete)
• Coordinate with internal team and external clientele regarding inspections while keeping all parties' best interests in mind
• Provide general administrative support as needed, including scheduling, paperwork, customer service, and other office-related tasks
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company and industry procedures, rules, and regulations.
