Requirements

  • Must be able to comfortably lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at elevated test locations, such as exhaust stack platforms or rooftops.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Moderate computer skills.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug test prior to employment.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the performance of air emissions testing projects at various industrial facilities.
  • Conduct field-testing which typically lasts from 1 to 5 days.
  • Travel for projects, generally in the Midwest, with potential for global travel.
  • Perform equipment calibrations and repairs when not in the field.
  • Prepare and pack for future projects.
  • Engage in data reduction and processing, report writing, and related tasks.
  • Record data, operate equipment, and recover samples during testing.
  • Become proficient in various EPA sampling methods and develop knowledge about industrial processes.
