As an Environmental Team Member at Michaels, you will maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, which includes maintaining store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. You will deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop our store, and find what they're looking for. Your responsibilities will include collecting and disposing of trash, dusting and damp mopping floors, moving equipment and products for proper cleaning, and deep cleaning key areas of the store such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways. You will also keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly, notify your supervisor of supply needs, and seek out areas requiring cleaning. Additionally, you will complete all tasks assigned by your supervisor and perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines. Maintaining positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers is essential, as is projecting a positive image and serving as a role model for other Team Members.

  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
  • Preferred retail and/or cleaning experience.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
