About The Position

The position is for a full-time Environmental Services role at Advocate Christ Medical Center. The schedule consists of 40 hours per week, with shifts from 15:00 to 23:30, Monday to Friday, and every fifth weekend. The role involves cleaning and disinfecting various areas within the hospital, including operating rooms, patient rooms, and ancillary areas, while adhering to perioperative environmental policies and surgical attire requirements. The pay range for this position is $18.50 to $27.75.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Ability to operate small electrical equipment, e.g., vacuum cleaners.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas using appropriate cleaning solutions and procedures.
• Operate various cleaning equipment following department procedures.
• Maintain work areas in an orderly, clean, and safe condition.
• Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and exceed expectations.
• Utilize AIDET with both internal and external customers.
• Identify and resolve interpersonal conflicts constructively.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize patient rooms and washrooms after discharges.
• Replenish supplies and collect waste from all areas of the hospital.
• Attend mandatory departmental and hospital meetings and inservices.
• Maintain proper attendance and punctuality as outlined in hospital policies.
