About The Position

The position is for a part-time Environmental Services Technician at Advocate Christ Medical Center, requiring 20 hours of work per week. The role involves cleaning and disinfecting various areas within the hospital, including patient rooms, offices, and restrooms, using appropriate cleaning solutions and following established procedures. The technician will operate various cleaning equipment, maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas, and ensure customer satisfaction by demonstrating a positive attitude towards patients and staff. Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Ability to operate small electrical equipment such as vacuum cleaners.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas using appropriate cleaning solutions.
• Operate various cleaning equipment following department procedures.
• Maintain work areas in an orderly, clean, and safe condition.
• Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and resolve conflicts constructively.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize rooms after patient discharges.
• Replenish supplies and collect waste from all areas of the hospital.
• Attend mandatory departmental and hospital meetings and inservices.
• Maintain proper attendance and punctuality as per hospital policy.
