Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in commercial/healthcare cleaning preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic and specialized cleaning services throughout the hospital.
  • Maintain and clean hard and soft flooring surfaces, including stairwells, hallways, and public spaces.
  • Use heavy mechanical equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, polishers, extractors, and wet vacuuming equipment.
  • Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by keeping specialty areas clean and sanitized.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting.
  • Learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials.
  • Safely use disinfecting chemicals and learn techniques for cleaning specialized rooms or equipment.
  • Refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, tissue holders, and other supplies.
  • Deliver clean linens to patient rooms.
  • Perform all types of floor care and maintenance throughout the facility.
  • Clean and perform routine maintenance on floor equipment.
  • Request assistance from plant operations and maintenance as needed.
  • Assist in onboarding new Environmental Services Technicians and serve as a mentor.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of health care cleaning and disinfecting principles.
