About The Position

The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for performing hospital wide cleaning duties per established policies and procedures as assigned; adheres to Good Samaritan University Hospital Medical Center department policies and procedures and Joint Commission /regulatory agency requirements; demonstrates and promotes service excellence and patient confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or relevant experience.
• Ability to clean entire patient room, including bathrooms.
• Ability to perform deep cleaning projects and vacuum various areas.
• Ability to replenish supplies and clean offices.
• Ability to change cubicle curtains and clean up spills promptly.
• Ability to perform floor maintenance and related duties.
• Physically able to push, bend, lift and move heavy furniture and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hospital wide cleaning duties as assigned.
• Adhere to department policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory agency requirements.
• Demonstrate and promote service excellence and patient confidentiality.
• Clean entire patient rooms, including bathrooms.
• Perform deep cleaning projects as assigned.
• Vacuum offices, lobby entrances, and miscellaneous areas.
• Replenish supplies and clean offices.
• Change cubicle curtains and clean up spills promptly.
• Utilize wet signs as necessary.
• Perform floor maintenance and other related duties as assigned.
