About The Position

The internship position at Callanan Industries Inc. involves both field and office work focused on geological operations and environmental sampling. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Qualified undergraduate student enrolled in Engineering, Engineering Tech, or Construction Technology programs.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite and database software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor and test process functions and materials daily.
• Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned.
• Evaluate data for deviations or trends away from accepted standards.
• Maintain test result database and input data.
• Assist internal and external customers in quality-related matters.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collection of different geologic units and their properties.
• Track sampling and performance under QC tests.
• Conduct environmental water sampling.
• Manage property line GIS storage and marking.
• Assist in mine planning, drone operations, and blast planning.
• Build and maintain community relationships.
• Inventory of core, map, and environmental records.
• Aid in yearly environmental reporting.
• Update site maps and plans.
