About The Position

Join our team as an Environmental Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in safeguarding our environment and promoting sustainable practices. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental compliance or management.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and laws, including EPA standards.
• Proficiency in conducting environmental assessments and audits.
• Experience with environmental management systems such as ISO 14001.
• Ability to analyze and interpret environmental data and reports.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and environmental modeling software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Certification such as Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental assessments and audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to promote sustainable practices.
• Monitor and analyze environmental data to identify trends and potential areas of improvement.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to environmental impact assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on environmental best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with government agencies, stakeholders, and community groups on environmental issues and initiatives.
• Develop and oversee waste management and recycling programs to minimize environmental footprint.
• Conduct site inspections and investigations to identify environmental hazards and propose corrective actions.
• Stay updated on emerging environmental regulations and technologies to ensure proactive compliance and innovation.
• Manage permits and licenses related to environmental operations and activities.
• Lead initiatives for pollution prevention and resource conservation to support organizational sustainability goals.
• Support crisis management and emergency response planning related to environmental incidents.
