Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, or related scientific discipline from an accredited university program.
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors under a variety of weather conditions.
• Excellent oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel within Michigan and to other states for field work, sometimes for extended periods (1-2 weeks).
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles.
• Ability to pass a background check for working at secure industrial sites.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with boating and trailering.
• Experience overseeing drilling subcontractors and logging environmental or geotechnical borings.

Responsibilities

• Support investigation of soil and groundwater contamination.
• Conduct vapor intrusion investigations.
• Perform surface water sampling and monitoring.
• Engage in sediment coring activities.
• Spend approximately 75% of time in the field and 25% in the office, depending on project needs.
• Work on projects that may require weekend work or extended hours.
