The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest environmental specialist in the Division of Drinking and Ground Waters (DDAGW), working at our Southwest District Office in Dayton, Ohio. You are at the heart of everything we do. Plain and simple. We are looking for a focused go-getter to join our DDAGW team in Southwest Ohio! An environmental specialist, you will perform technical reviews and evaluations of general and detail engineering construction plans for new public water supply, production, and distribution facilities. You will review plans and all associated technical data for compliance with pertinent state and federal regulations, as well as engineering design standards. You will handle special investigations of public water systems within the district and investigate complaints by consumers, public water systems owners and operators, and investigate emergency situations. You will conduct field visits and provide technical assistance, while consulting with public officials, owners, and operators of public water systems. You are going to assemble, process, and evaluate data on public water systems for the collection, treatment, and distribution of water, water quality, ownership, and technical supervisor. You will also recommend legal action against state law violators and conduct field inspections while consulting with attorneys and public officials.
