About The Position

Provides a clean, safe, sanitary, and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents, patients, visitors, and hospital staff. Performs other duties as assigned by department manager, supervisors, and/or charge persons.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies.
• 1+ years of Housekeeping/Custodian Experience.
• Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force constantly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work designated shift lengths including 8 and 12 hours, which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Completes checklists accurately for shampooing, buffing, bed washing, furniture cleaning and refrigerators.
• Enters all work orders in the computer.
• Operates equipment using proper procedures with minimal complaints as verified by routine inspection.
• Follows proper disposal procedures for hazardous and medical waste in accordance with established guidelines.
• Provides a safe environment through the proper operation, care and storage of equipment.
• Reports all broken equipment and damage to hospital property to supervisor or charge person.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
