About The Position
As an Environmental Services Technician at Corewell Health, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include cleaning and disinfecting assigned work areas, which encompass patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas, following established procedures to ensure high standards of hygiene and safety. You will also be responsible for the removal and disposal of linens and various waste streams, contributing to the overall cleanliness and operational efficiency of the healthcare facility. In addition to cleaning duties, you will perform interim and restorative maintenance on hard floors, carpets, and upholstery, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and presentable. As part of your role, you will assemble, maintain, and store the necessary equipment and supplies required to complete your tasks according to departmental standards. Effective communication and collaboration with other team members are essential to ensure continuity and coordination of services, fostering a positive work environment.
