About The Position
The Environmental Services Technician II will perform duties involved with cleaning patient and non-patient areas by utilizing appropriate cleaning aids. The position requires cleaning and disinfecting surgical, procedural, and specialized areas such as Sterile Processing. The technician will also clean and maintain various floor surfaces, including carpet, wood, marble, vinyl, VCT, stone, tile, and slate. Floor care will involve using equipment such as ride-on, walk-behind, and manually operated machines for scrubbing, buffing, and polishing floors. The technician will apply wax and other floor care products under the guidance of EVS Leadership, clean and polish furniture/fixtures in assigned areas, arrange furniture and/or equipment as directed, and dispose of biochemical waste in accordance with policy and procedures. Additionally, the technician will collect and remove trash and recyclable items and maintain security and confidentiality of areas by locking/unlocking doors and performing related functions.
