About The Position
Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 384-bed not-for-profit Level 2 Trauma Center located in Carmichael California. We have served north Sacramento County as well as south Placer County for over 50 years. Our facility is one of the area's largest medical centers and also one of the most comprehensive. Job Summary: The incumbent performs cleaning, sanitation and other environmental services and support duties involved in hospital maintenance. May access medication storage areas in accordance with their job function and hospital policy.
Requirements
- Basic housekeeping practices and procedures
- Proper handling/disposal of infectious waste
- Proper safety skills in handling of housekeeping chemicals and equipment
- Basic floor care practices
- Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitation, infectious waste, floor and carpet care including knowledge of aseptic procedures, detergent/germicide solution and proper use and cleaning of equipment, proper use of safety standards and procedures in housekeeping skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent
