About The Position

This position works under the supervision of Environmental Services Leadership. Provides cleaning inpatient and non-patient areas, moves furniture, and performs a variety of miscellaneous responsibilities necessary to maintain a sanitary, safe, orderly and attractive environment.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma preferred.
• CPI training for those working in Mental Health required within 180 days of hire.
• Cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of cleaning and disinfecting chemicals.
• Performs terminal cleaning of discharged patient rooms, following the appropriate cleaning checklist.
• Performs cleaning of public restrooms, common, and ancillary areas throughout the facility and replenishes housekeeping supplies as assigned.
• Demonstrates the ability to properly empty waste receptacles, change needle (sharps) containers, and transports regular and bio-hazard waste to appropriate destinations.
• Other duties as assigned
