As an Environmental Services (EVS) Technician at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC), you’ll perform daily and discharge/terminal cleaning that prevents infections and keeps our hospital welcoming. Job Summary Clean and service patient rooms, clinical areas, and offices according to hospital standards—removing trash and biohazards, dusting, mopping, sanitizing restrooms, restocking supplies, and performing isolation/terminal cleans to support infection prevention.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; learn and follow cleaning routines with minimal supervision.
  • Customer-service mindset; uphold NARMC mission/values and standards of behavior; respond appropriately to isolation and safety situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical or commercial cleaning experience, ideally in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Clean patient rooms, bathrooms, and offices; empty waste; restock paper and soap supplies.
  • Perform discharge/terminal cleaning including isolation rooms per protocol.
  • Dust/damp-dust furniture and equipment; clean inside windows, blinds, vents, and high areas.
  • Sweep, wet mop, buff/wax floors, and spot clean carpets; move furniture/equipment as needed.
  • Arrange rooms in an orderly fashion and respond to miscellaneous cleaning requests.
  • Follow infection-control and PPE procedures; report safety issues promptly; deliver great customer service.
