About The Position
The University of Miami Hospital (UTower) has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Services Technician – Full Time (U) in the Environmental Services Department. The Environmental Services Technician – Full Time (U) performs cleaning functions to maintain a sanitary, safe, and orderly condition throughout the facility. This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- In lieu of education: One-year experience as a housekeeper in the hotel/ motel commercial/ industrial sanitation or health care related field.
Responsibilities
- Follows established cleaning methods and procedures in performing cleaning duties.
- Uses only cleaning supplies and chemicals that have been approved by management.
- Adheres to guidelines for fire and general safety, waste disposal, dress code, and patient information.
- Reports areas in need of special cleaning or repairs to appropriate supervisor.
- Assists in the maintenance of equipment and organization of supplies.
- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
