University Place is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), offering a variety of senior lifestyle options including independent living, assisted living, memory support assisted living and skilled nursing/long-term care. Additionally, the onsite rehabilitation clinic offers inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapies, and state-of-the-art programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents and patients in the local community. Day shift, rotating weekends and rotating holidays. Position Summary In this role, you will be responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of resident quarters, dining areas, lounges, offices, restrooms, laundry rooms, storage and equipment areas, and all other public and private areas of the facility as scheduled. This position is also responsible for inventory and safe utilization of cleaning supplies and other equipment used for cleaning.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Licenses/Certifications: N/A
  • Experience: None required, prior housekeeping experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain a safe environment in all designated areas at the community using proper germicide cleaning products and following infection control practices at all times.
  • Clean, vacuum, sweep, and/or mop all floors and carpets.
  • Clean windows and dust blinds and woodwork.
  • Clean resident beds and rooms upon discharge, handling infectious waste appropriately.
  • Maintain work carts, supply closets, and non-motorized equipment; keeping them stocked and clean.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
