Environmental Services Technician - Concord Freestanding ED (Part Time)
About The Position
Atrium Health is seeking a part-time Environmental Services Technician for the Concord Freestanding ED. This position promotes environmental protection by maintaining healthy and safe medical facilities for employees and visitors. The role offers a starting pay of $18.85/hour and is eligible for a Prepaid College Tuition Assistance program (up to $5,250/year). Additionally, the company provides opportunities to earn a high school diploma or take ESL classes with no out-of-pocket expenses through their Online High School, up to $1,350 in wellness incentives through the LiveWELL program, six weeks paid maternity leave, four weeks paid parental leave, amazing health insurance options (copay or HSA eligible), and up to 7% employer-paid retirement contributions.

Responsibilities
- Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas.
- Dusts and sanitizes furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures.
- Washes windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures.
- Sweeps, scrubs and refinishes floors.
- Vacuums and shampoos carpet.
- Re-stocks restrooms.
- Replaces light bulbs.
- Reports repairs.
- Assists with outdoor cleaning including parking lot, windows, and roof.
- Engages in cleaning activities that may include the use of a ladder.
- Handles heavy contact with cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers and finishes.
- Removes waste by collecting and transporting soiled linen.
- Removes waste by emptying trash containers.
- Removes waste by changing sharps containers.
- Removes waste by transporting solid and hazardous waste to compactors.
- Removes waste by recycling material.
- Removes waste by emptying cigarette receptacles in smoking areas.
- Keeps equipment clean and orderly.
- Reports equipment failures or other mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
- Maintains safe working environment.
- Provides quality service by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, infection control guidelines, and meeting departmental quality standards.
- Attends all required in-service education and training classes including safety update programs to maintain technical knowledge.
- Consistently demonstrates the ability to meet time schedules and deadlines.
