About The Position

Environmental Services Technician We are seeking an Environmental Services Technician, also referred to as a EVS Tech or Hospital Housekeeper. The EVS Tech ensures a safe and healthy environment by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infection. The EVS Tech will handle waste disposal, restock supplies, maintain floors and surfaces, and respond to urgent cleaning needs. Requirements

One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred.
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

The Environmental Service Technician is responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling from one facility to another without assistance.
Respond to and initiate communication by phone, handheld radios, pagers etc.
