About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician plays an important role in maintaining our clinics so that staff, clients, and visitors can focus on what matters most. This position is not client-facing, but it is essential to the daily operations of our programs and the quality of care we provide. The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for supporting a clean, organized, and safe environment across all facilities, contributing to the overall well-being and safety of clients, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of environmental services, housekeeping, janitorial, or related experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and adapt to changing routines based on client needs.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain a professional, friendly, and helpful demeanor.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and software (MS Office Suite).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an office or healthcare environment, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain therapy rooms, client kitchen areas, bathrooms, and other assigned spaces, ensuring infection control and safety by organizing equipment and resources.
  • Collect, transport, and dispose of bio-hazardous materials following safety protocols.
  • Stock and organize cleaning supplies, first aid kits, evaluation, and testing materials.
  • Maintain cleaning schedules and food storage protocol binders.
  • Assist with supply ordering and pick-up.
  • Identify and report safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop visuals and home programs and perform lamination tasks as requested.
  • Perform deep cleaning and routine maintenance as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
