Our level I trauma center and academic medical center campus is designed to heal the body, mind, and spirit of every person in a more comfortable, less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services includes trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging. Responsibilities
- Cleans and disinfects patient, ancillary and public areas as assigned daily following established procedures.
- Operates manual, battery-powered and electric equipment such as mechanical floor cleaners and vacuums. Maintains and stores all equipment in a safe, sanitary manner.
- Collects, handles and disposes of designated waste streams and soiled linens in the prescribed manner.
- Completes stat and routine discharge room cleans.
- Adheres to all hospital required Safety, Risk Management and Infection Control practices
- Identifies and reports work orders for maintenance/refurbishing needs.
- Inspects EVS equipment for cleanliness and need for repair.
