The Environmental Services Technician position at the Oscar G. Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this job.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and lifting heavy equipment.
• Experience in housekeeping or custodial work is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with powered cleaning equipment such as industrial buffers and wall washers.
• Knowledge of safety practices in cleaning and handling hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform light and heavy cleaning duties in various areas including wards, patient rooms, and restrooms.
• Address spills and maintain cleanliness in patient areas promptly.
• Discard trash and manage waste disposal effectively.
• Install light bulbs and maintain lighting in halls and rooms.
• Vacuum and polish floors to ensure a clean environment.
• Sweep, mop, and scrub floors using appropriate equipment.
• Refill toilet tissue and towel dispensers as needed.
• Move furniture to facilitate cleaning tasks.
