About The Position

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Housekeeping Aids and other assigned employees in housekeeping tasks.
  • Perform a full range of housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness in the medical center and other facility units.
  • Communicate instructions from the Supervisor to employees and validate the completion of assigned work.
  • Coordinate projects with nurses and area supervisors to ensure timely and successful completion of tasks.
  • Set the pace for tasks, demonstrate methods and techniques, and provide direction on the proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Report progress of employees to the Supervisor and recommend actions regarding work progress and policy infractions.
  • Perform cleaning duties in various areas including outpatient surgery, clinics, patient areas, and isolation rooms.
  • Manage textile distribution and inventory, and provide on-the-job training to employees.
  • Move furniture and set up conference rooms for meetings and events.
