About The Position

The position is for a part-time Environmental Services role at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital. The primary responsibility is to clean and disinfect assigned areas, including patient rooms, offices, and other hospital facilities, using appropriate cleaning solutions and following specific procedures. The working hours are from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and the pay range is between $18.50 and $27.75 per hour.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Ability to operate small electrical equipment, e.g., vacuum cleaners.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Clean/disinfect assigned area(s) by washing walls, doors, ceilings, patient televisions, windows, furniture, floors, and equipment.
• Operate various cleaning equipment following department procedures.
• Use chemicals and solutions according to department policy.
• Maintain work areas in an orderly, clean, and safe condition.
• Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and exceed expectations.
• Utilize AIDET with both internal and external customers.
• Identify and resolve interpersonal conflicts constructively.
• Thoroughly wash and sanitize beds and rooms after patient discharges.
• Replenish supplies such as paper towels and soap.
• Collect and sanitize waste and garbage containers.
• Attend all mandatory departmental and hospital meetings and inservices.
• Maintain proper attendance and punctuality.
