About The Position

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring an Environmental Services Tech to join our team at the Osceola Medical Center in Osceola, MO. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Osceola offers some of the best hunting and fishing in Missouri. Clinton, MO is located 30 minutes to the North, and Bolivar, MO is 30 minutes to the south. Both of these cities are located along Highway 13. Osceola is home to the famous Osceola Cheese Factory which is a stop for many traveling through Osceola. About the department: Coordinating daily housekeeping services to ensure that the hospital maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary facility. Following proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used in the work area. Environmental Services ensures that Infection Control and Universal Precautions are maintained. A typical day will include: Cleaning all areas of the clinic by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, office, clinical areas, waiting rooms, lobbies, lounges, restrooms and corridors. Ensuring all areas are sanitized according to hospital 7 Step Process. Cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment. Notifying supervisor of necessary repairs. Demonstrating ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedures. Assisting patients and guests when necessary.

Requirements

Education: Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills: Service
Licensure/Certification: N/A
Physical: Prolong periods of standing and walking; ability to read and write documentation; Exerting 20 to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 lbs. of force frequently

Responsibilities

Cleaning all areas of the clinic by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, office, clinical areas, waiting rooms, lobbies, lounges, restrooms and corridors.
Ensuring all areas are sanitized according to hospital 7 Step Process.
Cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment.
