The position involves cleaning and disinfecting assigned areas within the Advocate Condell Medical Center, including patient rooms, offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and other areas of the hospital and/or off-site facilities. The role requires operating various cleaning equipment, using chemicals and solutions according to department policy, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The employee is expected to demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to infection control policies. Responsibilities also include preparing cleaning solutions, collecting and distributing linens, and ensuring proper waste disposal. The job requires physical activity, including walking, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 35 pounds.
