As Team Lead, you will work to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect by ensuring all assigned facility areas are clean, fully stocked and organized. Your efforts help enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience and assist other caregivers in providing attentive patient care. A caregiver in this position works 7:00am to 3:30pm with rotating full weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year of experience in an environmental services or housekeeping role with strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in coordinating multiple tasks
  • Ability to provide direction on departmental policies and procedures, various cleaning and patient hospitality techniques, proper use and storage of cleaning agents, chemicals, and cleaning equipment
  • Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting and reaching.
  • Requires continuous walking and standing on hard surfaces.
  • Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct general training for new caregivers in floor care, wall washing, carpet cleaning and special procedures.
  • Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces.
  • Follow policies and procedures on patient isolation.
  • Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated.
  • Maintain cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.
