Cleveland Clinic’s Environmental Services (EVS) Department is consistently ranked among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare. As Team Lead, you will work to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect by ensuring all assigned facility areas are clean, fully stocked and organized. Your efforts help enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience and assist other caregivers in providing attentive patient care. A caregiver in this position works evenings, Monday – Friday 4:00pm – 12:30am, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in coordinating multiple tasks
• Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting and reaching.
• Requires continuous walking and standing on hard surfaces.
• Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Light Work - Exerting 11 to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in Environmental Services
• Leadership experience or experience providing work direction

Responsibilities

• Conduct general training for new caregivers in floor care, wall washing, carpet cleaning and special procedures.
• Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Follow policies and procedures on patient isolation.
• Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated.
• Maintain cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.
