About The Position

Under the guidance of the Director of Environmental Services, and in accordance with the Trinity Health Strategic Plan, supervises one or more shifts of the day-to-day, 24x7 operations of the Environmental Services Department, including team leaders. Accountable for ensuring total quality cleanliness of all hospital interior spaces (and some exterior) as evidenced by internal quarterly housekeeping audits.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of related experience.
• Prior experience in health care, hotel, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, or other related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and sustain teams with diverse backgrounds.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise one or more shifts of the Environmental Services Department.
• Ensure total quality cleanliness of all hospital interior and some exterior spaces.
• Conduct internal quarterly housekeeping audits.
• Coach and train staff members to achieve team success.
• Conduct annual staff performance assessments.
• Perform hiring and terminations.
• Implement performance enhancement plans when needed.
