About The Position

The Environmental Services (EVS) Representative at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is responsible for maintaining environmental and infection control standards. This part-time evening position involves performing general cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and attractive environment for patients, guests, and staff, in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Demonstrated skills and competencies necessary to perform the assigned job safely.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers.
• Multi-task oriented with the ability to complete work within designated time frames.
• Ability to perform duties accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Interact positively and professionally with patients, family, and staff.
• Participate actively in meetings and team huddles using positive communication.
• Respond promptly to requests for assistance from patients, staff, and visitors.
• Perform efficient room cleaning processes to ensure timely patient admissions.
• Follow department processes for room cleaning and discharge inspections to meet cleanliness scores.
• Track and log safety and repair needs for equipment during discharge activities.
• Use and store chemicals and supplies appropriately during shifts.
• Manage time effectively and prioritize daily tasks to minimize overtime.
• Participate in continuing education and in-service programs for growth and development.
