About The Position

Availability required between 5:30 PM and 1:00 AM, including rotating holidays and weekends. Provides the highest level of disinfection & cleaning (terminal cleaning) for operating rooms, OB operating room, Angio procedure room & APC procedure rooms. Also, the OR Technician maintains a pleasant and safe environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff. Complies with all regulatory requirements of JACHO, State Health Department and other regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prefer 2 to 5 years of relative work experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates skill in cleaning/disinfecting a variety of rooms used for patient care and treatment.
• Strictly & consistently follows procedures for highest levels of disinfection that is required in operating rooms, scrub & sterile areas & surrounding non-sterile spaces.
• Is knowledgeable of procedures for cleaning, disinfecting, infection control, and safety.
• Is able to work with minimal supervision.
• Is able to organize cleaning duties and prioritize work to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
• Maintains collaborative working relationships with nursing and other departments.
• Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
