About The Position

The Environmental Services Operating Room (OR) Tech cleans and maintains specified areas within the OR Department. This role is responsible for following hospital regulations/policies regarding the overall general cleaning of the department, biohazard waste disposal, restocking of cleaning supplies/paper products and communication with surgery staff as needed. Duties include but are not limited to terminal cleaning infectious OR suites, cleaning locker rooms, restrooms, offices, Dr.s lounge, retrieving beds for OR usage, high dusting, trash, and bioremoval.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• General housekeeping knowledge.
• 90 Days of housekeeping experience.
• Ability to follow all rules and policies within the organization and department.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of proper and safe use of applicable custodial equipment.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare facility or commercial cleaning role.
• Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures.

Responsibilities
