About The Position

Provides leadership, planning and day-to-day coordination for Environmental Services department and Linen Services. Maintains the standards of cleanliness and appearance as established by the facility and regulatory standards for community hospitals below 450,000 cleanable square feet. Essential Functions Develops, implements and manages annual capital/operating and personnel (FTE) budget for Environmental Services. Uses resources effectively and manages expenses to meet financial goals Responsible for hiring, orienting, staff development, education, and performance management. Builds a cohesive team and promotes employee engagement. Responsible for Environmental Services performance and compliance with patient safety initiatives, federal, state and other regulatory bodies such as Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, and other EVS specific accrediting and certifying bodies. Ensures department follows EVS system standard processes, guidelines, and supplies Manages and mentors EVS supervisors and provides professional development opportunities Manages operating expenses for Environmental Services and Linen. Uses resources effectively and manages expenses to meet financial goals Effectively uses professional and organizational best practices to ensure delivery of quality services Performs cleaning duties as needed based on staffing, patient loads, and time constraints May include responsibility for linen services
