About The Position

The EVS Manager is responsible for the successful performance of the Housekeepers and Heavy Duty Team members. Ensuring high standards of cleanliness for the casino, public areas, administrative offices and any other areas assigned by the Facilities Director through efficient supervision, management techniques and procedures.

Requirements

  • Five to seven years' experience in a hospitality industry, hotel, amusement park, or hospital office complex with a 4-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
  • Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience.
  • Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm, while being able to project a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Display strong work ethic and team work.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages the budget for the EVS department.
  • Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
  • Manages process and program to effectively control and reduce loss time injuries.
  • Timely completion of departmental property and safety reports.
  • Knowledgeable of applicable OSHA Compliance, EAP regulations.
  • Training in the use of supplies, equipment, chemicals, and MSDS.
  • Review staffing levels to maintain full employment.
  • Manages staff direct and indirectly delegate duties and assign responsibilities.
  • Development of staff, interviews, hires and evaluates.
  • Maintain employee files
  • Review department's financial data, record keeping for inventory control, tracking supplies and equipment.
  • Review housekeeping activities with Director of Facilities.
  • Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
