About The Position

The Environmental Services Manager at Intermountain Healthcare is responsible for leading and coordinating the Environmental Services department and Linen Services. This role ensures that cleanliness and appearance standards are maintained according to facility and regulatory requirements, particularly for community hospitals with less than 450,000 cleanable square feet. The manager will oversee budgeting, staff development, compliance with safety initiatives, and the overall performance of the department.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the annual capital/operating and personnel budget for Environmental Services.
• Hire, orient, and manage staff development and performance.
• Build a cohesive team and promote employee engagement.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety initiatives and regulatory standards such as Joint Commission, OSHA, and CMS.
• Manage and mentor EVS supervisors, providing professional development opportunities.
• Oversee operating expenses for Environmental Services and Linen, ensuring effective resource management.
• Perform cleaning duties as needed based on staffing and patient loads.
