About The Position

Morrow County Health District (MCHD) is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Lead in Heppner, OR. The Environmental Services (EVS) Lead is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital and affiliated facilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum two years supervisory experience; healthcare setting preferred.
Knowledge of EVS operations, inventory management, and procurement practices.

Responsibilities

This is a working Lead position who will complete housekeeping and laundry duties within the department.
Leads department staff and directs work in the Environmental Services Department in accordance with hospital laws, regulations and established District policies, procedures and guidelines.
Maintains departmental schedule and covers shifts when needed.
Oversees and maintains the cleaning and sanitization duties at Pioneer Memorial Hospital. The staff also performs weekly cleaning duties at Pioneer Memorial Clinic, performs a deep cleaning of the Emergency Room quarterly and cleans at the District’s off-campus housing as needed.
Ensure that all staff maintain strict patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA regulations.
Ensure all quality and safety inspections, drills and staff education are completed as per policy.
Maintain all Housekeeping and Laundry Policies and update as necessary.
Purchase, re-order and maintain housekeeping and laundry supplies and inventory following policies and procedures.
Monitors and reports on Quality Assurance.
Participates on Infection Control Committee.
Participates in all district meetings as assigned
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
