Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • 6 Months as MHS Technician - Environmental Services
  • Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provides mentoring, monitoring, coaching, and evaluation of team members' performance, especially in the areas of productivity and quality management.
  • Serves as a positive role model for team members by working with them to promote teamwork and cooperation.
  • Assists with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision-making/problem solving.
  • Performs responsibilities of underlying job.
  • Takes responsibility for, or provides guidance to team members on, the handling of complex or novel issues.
  • Team Leader will be responsible for training all new techs and orienting them to hospital landscape
  • Team Leader must take Preceptor class
  • Team Leader should work each shift 1st 2nd and 3rd during training period 1st month.
