About The Position

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Environmental Services Floor Technician, Full-time at The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods in Boardman, OH. This position is evenings Monday through Friday. Includes a Free Fitness Center Membership. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors in our hospital facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of floor care techniques, environmental services, and custodial responsibilities to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in environmental services, custodial work, or commercial cleaning is preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper floor care techniques and products is essential.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards related to cleaning and sanitation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff and management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing floors to maintain a clean and polished appearance.
  • Operate floor care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums safely and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards while performing cleaning duties.
  • Sanitize high-touch areas to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a healthy environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of floors to identify areas needing repair or special attention.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient cleaning operations across the facility.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs promptly.
