Requirements

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Typical physical demands require a full range of body motion.
  • Duties may be performed while standing and walking for the majority of the shift and include pulling and pushing of equipment.
  • The ability to stoop, stretch and lift while performing duties is required.
  • Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/General Educational Development(GED) preferred.
  • One year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans assigned areas daily.
  • Maintains hard floor surfaces: stripping and refinishing, mopping and buffing, auto-scrub as needed.
  • Maintains carpets; shampoo, extraction, gum removal and daily maintenance.
  • Completes waste stream removal; general waste, recycling, infectious waste etc.
  • Follows all Environmental Services technical and operational standard operating procedures.
  • Follows and adheres to all hospital and departmental safety requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
