About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Custodial Manager for Skidmore College, in beautiful Saratoga Springs, New York. Our leader will work a schedule of 3:00pm - 11:30pm Monday through Friday. Valid driver's license with clear background required. This is a great entry level management position for a custodial supervisor with team leadership experience. Experience working with Unions is a plus! Our successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing custodial services in a large facility, walk around campus daily and inspect sanitation and remain pro-active in keeping our campus pristine. Technical knowledge of floor care and custodial equipment and chemicals and experience managing a cohesive team with the flexibility to jump in and help hands-on as needed is required.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's license with Clear Background required
• Consistently work the 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday through Friday Shift, helping hands on
• Experience leading, training and managing a team to develop and motivate our team to exceed the expectations of our clients and customers in service delivery
• Results and safety driven mindset
• Successful experience managing COVID response
• Demonstrated history of managing work orders in a CMMS
• Ability to monitor compliance and reach project target dates of completion
• Strong leadership skills and with the ability to work independently to drive program goals
• Experience managing our team through positive and constructive feedback to employees to reward, coach, correct and motivate them
• Experience hiring team members, documenting timely interviews following Sodexo timeline and policy for the interview process

Responsibilities

• Work 3:00pm - 11:30pm Monday through Friday
• Lead teams and departmental projects and initiatives
• Effectively manage the Unit Operating System
• Schedule, supervise, and inspect sanitation
• Monitor special event preparations for flawless execution
• Provide a clean and safe environment for students, visitors, and staff
• Execute the pristine appearance of assigned buildings through weekly inspections
• At the close of shift, relay full details and pertinent information to the overnight shift team
