About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an evening Environmental Services Operations Manager 1 for Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center located in Hazard, KY. The hospital is part of the Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH), a not-for-profit health system, operating 14 hospitals. ARH is the largest provider of care, the single largest employer in southeastern Kentucky, and the third-largest private employer in southern West Virginia. The Operations Manager will oversee the housekeeping department operations at this 358 bed facility with a team of 20 on the evening shift (approximate hours are 2P-12A) with some weekends and holidays in a union environment reporting to the General Manager. Sodexo offers a range of services to healthcare facilities, including food, nutrition, environmental, facilities management, healthcare technology management, retail, and patient experience services. Requirements

  • have experience leading and managing a team and is a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a healthcare housekeeping system
  • possess strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion
  • can analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading hospital committees and change management
  • have experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines
  • are results and safety driven
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • have experience driving customer service and/or guest satisfaction results in a healthcare environment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores
  • provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department
  • work with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director
  • effectively manages the Unit Operating System
